Planning

My flight to Montreal is booked! It was bought and paid for by my sponsor organization NetCorps - thank you very much! I will officially be leaving the West Coast at 9:05am from Vancouver and arriving in Montreal at 4:50pm. I have updated my online itinerary with this information.

After a lot of discussion of the various routes I could take to Budapest I have chosen a British Airways flight to London, with a 10 hour stop over so I can check out the city, then a connecting British Airways flight to Budapest. I will be arriving in Hungary the evening of Monday, November 5th. I’m looking forward to taking a tour of London, checking out Big Ben and the London Eye among other attractions!

So I now know what day I’m leaving. I am going to be in Montreal from October 31st until November 4th for some training before my trip. The training will take place at the Chalet Beaumont which is an hour and a half from Montreal. After my training I will be heading off for Hungary. So my last day in BC is Tuesday, October 30th. I’m still waiting for more information before I purchase my tickets but at least I have some more specific information.

I’ve got word that the organization I will be volunteering for has approved my internship. I’ve signed and faxed a contract agreeing to go and agreeing to stay with the organization till the end of March 2008. I’m told more specific details as to the dates of my trip will be given to me next week sometime. I’ve started buying supplies, like a new 70L backpack!
